Women’s Self Defence:
We will now be offering an ongoing women’s only self-defence class on Saturdays from 1pm-2pm.
This is not another martial arts class. No karate suits, no grading and no kata’s.
Instead this class will consist of street techniques designed to deal with confrontational situations both physical and mental that women may come up against. Helpful strategies and a variety of practical hints to help identify and recognise early warning signs or dangerous situations.
Our main focus throughout the course will be to give women greater awareness skills, building their confidence and creating an assertive and empowering manner. Ages of women must be 13yrs and above. Appropriate clothing should be worn as some cardio may be involved.
Martial Arts is a system of unarmed combat taught for self-defence, yet so much more is gained from constant training. Karate will improve your health, confidence, respect, discipline, focus and an overall change for the better to the way you live your life.
Students are taught the art of using both traditional and non traditional weapons, their applications and defences. Also shown and taught are forms with weapons and training drills that help with coordination and dexterity.
Our Dragon Cubs program allows children to experience karate at a young age, with its own grading syllabus yet still focusing on discipline, respect and having fun.
Tournament Only Class:
This class will focus purely on competition style training in all aspects of competitive Martial Arts such as fighting, forms and demonstrations. Students will aim to become one of our club team members that will represent us in State, National and World events.
Body and Mind Fitness Class:
At Epping Dojo only. We have created a Boxercise / Meditation work out that will not only get your heart rate up but also help strengthen your inner harmonies. This class consists of 45 minutes of a high cardio session and then 15 minutes of relaxation techniques. This class is open to all students and non-students.
